Rice bran and wheat bran are obtained from rice and wheat, which is produced by grinding them in mills and rice threshing. Bran is useful product for human foods and fodder for livestock and poultry.
These products are widely used in different areas, both inside and outside the country, for human, livestock and poultry feeds. The main factor affecting the nutritional value of this food is the amount of shell, that is indigestible for poultry. One of the main components of rice bran is lignin, which after combining with phloroglucinol, cause appear colors. By-products of rice are mixed with reagent in a ratio of 2:1 and kept for 25 minutes at 25˚c. red color is directly related to the amount of shell. As result, the color rating in this experiment can be calibrated based on real amount of rice bran.
Rice bran is very useful for digestive system and it is beneficial for problems such as constipation, high blood fats and overweight. The best property of this products is fiber, which prevent constipation and overweight.
Consumption of Wheat bran reduces the absorption of cholesterol and then reduces the blood fats.
